Family Background
Three rolls to establish where a character comes from. Roll Sibling Rank for birth order and family size, Parental Status for how they were raised, and Parent Career— using the character’s Social Status score — for what the household did for a living.
Sibling Rank & Parental Status
Social class shapes how to read these results — a fostered noble was sent to serve at court; a fostered serf was placed with a neighbor who needed an extra hand.

Parent Career
Select the tier matching the character’s Social Status attribute score, then roll d100. This is the primary breadwinner’s occupation — in most households the father, but for characters with an absent or dead father it may be the mother or guardian.
