Equipment Rules
Item Quality
Prices in the equipment lists are for standard, functional items. Quality items have better materials, finer finish, and personalised details — typically 2× the list price. High Quality items are exceptional make (fit for royalty) and cost at least 10× list price.
Silver & Silvering
Most weapons can be tipped, edged, or entirely made from silver. Silver weapons are effective against lycanthropes and certain supernatural creatures. Unless noted, silver treatment costs roughly 10× the base weapon price. Adding silver bands, studs, or caps to wooden weapons costs around 3 cp.
Item Saving Throws
When an item is exposed to elemental or magical damage — fire, acid, lightning, a crushing blow, a fall — the referee may call for an item saving throw. Roll d20. If the result equals or exceeds the number shown, the item survives intact.
A table value of 20 means no save is possible against that damage type. A value of 1 means the item effectively cannot fail.
