Description
Spectres are among the most feared of the undead. They have no physical body whatsoever — they are pure malevolent spirit. They appear as dim, shifting apparitions and move with terrifying speed.
Special Abilities
Double Energy Drain: Each hit drains 2 experience levels from the target — a devastating blow that can kill even seasoned adventurers in moments.
No Corporeal Body: Spectres are completely immune to non-magical weapons. They have no physical form to harm.
Weapon Susceptibility: All magical weapons affect Spectres normally. Silver weapons also affect them.
Create Spectres: Men killed by Spectres rise as Spectres under the slayer's control.
Turn Undead: A Cleric may attempt to turn Spectres, though with great difficulty.
