Description
Trolls are rubbery-skinned, long-limbed horrors of enormous strength. They rend enemies with talons and fangs and seem impossible to kill — for they regenerate from nearly any wound.
Special Abilities
Regeneration: Beginning on the 3rd round after taking damage, a Troll regenerates 3 hp per round. Regeneration stops only if the Troll takes fire or acid damage. A Troll reduced to 0 hp by normal means is merely incapacitated — it will rise again unless its remains are burned or dissolved with acid.
Multiple Attacks: A Troll attacks with two talons and one bite each round, each dealing 1 die (1d6) damage.
Tactics / Encounter / Notes
Trolls attack relentlessly. They have no fear of most weapons, knowing they will simply regenerate. The only way to permanently kill a troll is with fire or acid. Smart adventurers carry torches or flasks of oil.
