Description

Green Slime is not truly a monster — it is a mindless dungeon hazard. It clings to ceilings and walls in thick patches. It dissolves wood and metal. Worse, it turns living flesh into more Green Slime within one turn of contact.

Special Abilities

Transformation: If Green Slime makes contact with a living creature, it begins converting the creature to Green Slime. This process takes 1 turn (10 minutes). After one turn of contact, the victim becomes a patch of Green Slime.

Dissolves Wood and Metal: Green Slime destroys wood and metal on contact. It cannot affect stone.

Killed by Fire or Cold Only: Only fire or cold can kill Green Slime. Weapons do not harm it; lightning has no effect.

Cure Disease: A Cure Disease spell destroys Green Slime on contact and halts the transformation if cast before it completes.

Tactics / Encounter / Notes

Green Slime lurks on ceilings and in crevices. It drops silently onto passing creatures (treat as an attack requiring a Dexterity check or Referee adjudication to avoid). Torches and oil flasks are the standard countermeasure.
