Description
Dwarves are stout, bearded humanoids who dwell in underground holds carved from living rock. They are fierce warriors and master craftsmen, deeply loyal to their kin and deeply suspicious of outsiders.
Special Abilities
Giant Resistance: Clumsy monsters such as Ogres and Giants score only half hit points against Dwarves, due to the Dwarf's squat, hard-to-hit stature and toughness.
Darkvision: Dwarves see in darkness up to 60 ft.
Stone Sense: Dwarves can detect sloping passages, new construction, and stonework traps with a high degree of accuracy.
Above-Average Fighter: One in 40 Dwarves is an exceptional fighter of higher than normal level.
Magic Items: For every fighting level above normal, there is a 10% chance the Dwarf carries a magic item.
Mounts: Dwarves may use bears, wolves, or wolverines as mounts and war animals.
