Description

Wraiths are powerful undead spirits — a higher order of the wight. They appear as dark, shifting shadows with faintly visible features. They float above the ground and can fly at tremendous speed.

Special Abilities

Energy Drain: Each hit permanently drains 1 experience level (as Wight).

Weapon Resistance: Silver arrows deal half a die of damage. Magic arrows deal 1 die of damage. Normal weapons are ineffective. All magical weapons that hit deal normal damage.

Incorporeal Movement: Wraiths can pass through walls and physical barriers.

Turn Undead: A Cleric may attempt to turn Wraiths normally, though with difficulty.

Wraiths are cunning hunters. They can pass through walls and doors, making them nearly impossible to flee from in a dungeon. Their speed in the air makes escape in the open equally futile.
